A unique encounter

With excitement, love and joy, we call you to the 1st European Encounter of Aquatic Biodanza, which will be held in the province of Jaén, in the town of Canena, where we will have exclusive use of the San Andrés Hotel, with its pool of more than 200 m² at an average temperature of 35 °C, specially prepared for our event.

For three days we will share an atmosphere enriched by thermal waters known since Roman times. The waters of the San Andrés spring are notable both for their gentleness and for their therapeutic properties. We will experience activities in water and on land, in a unique environment, together with Aquatic Biodanza facilitators of wide experience and deep commitment to this extension.

In addition, facilitators who wish to undertake the training in the Aquatic Biodanza extension may do so by staying one more day, reserved exclusively for the training.

Experience & Dedication

A bit of history: In 2010, together with Viviana Canalis, we organized the first Aquatic Biodanza extension, in which the pioneers of Spain were trained. This is the sixth training at a national level, enriched by the experience accumulated in all previous editions. Rolando Toro Acuña was invited to collaborate in the first edition, Maite Bernardelle in the second, and Fernanda Morixe in the third. At the VIDA Biodanza School in Granada, we specialise in this extension.

From the VIDA Biodanza School in Granada, we have prepared this encounter as a shared project that reflects our commitment to the values and principles that arise from the very essence of Biodanza. We take care of every detail to create a microclimate that inspires, nurtures, and fosters profound experiences of human connection, affective expansion, and the joy of living.

Aquatic Biodanza

Aquatic Biodanza is one of the most significant Biodanza extensions, as it acts directly on cellular psychism. It offers a profound rebirth experience that helps dissolve armouring and reduces the factors that generate stress. The experience is not only one of sensitivity and emotion, but also embraces affective feeling and deep tenderness, fostering a high level of evolution.

The Encounter will take place at the San Andrés Spa Hotel in Canena, Jaén

This three-star hotel offers every comfort and is surrounded by a deep sense of tranquillity, while still being perfectly connected to the main cities in the area. The mission of Balneario San Andrés is to offer health and wellbeing to its visitors. The hotel can accommodate up to 150 people in double rooms, and we will have all its facilities exclusively for the participants of the 1st European Encounter of Aquatic Biodanza!

What are the benefits of Aquatic Biodanza?

Do I need to know how to swim?

It’s not necessary. The entire pool has a maximum depth of 1.40 m and is completely safe.

What clothing do I need?

Swimsuit, flip-flops, and your water bottle.

Can I take part in the Encounter if I have never done Biodanza before?

It is necessary to have a minimum of 3 months of experience in a weekly group.

Are there single rooms?

We have reserved a few single rooms with a supplement of €30 per night. These are mainly intended for people with special needs. If this is your case, please contact us so we can attend to your particular situation.

Can I stay in another hotel?

Full-board accommodation is an essential part of this experience. We will share rooms and enjoy the fireplace in the lounge at night, the access to the thermal-water pool, and the hotel’s green areas. For this reason, it is not possible to stay in another establishment or to spend the night in a caravan in the surrounding area.

What is the difference between taking part in the Encounter and completing the training?

The main difference is that those who complete the training will have theoretical and methodological spaces within the programme, and will also stay one extra day to carry out pool practices under the supervision of the training team..
